Mercury in Libra, 2028
Mercury enters Libra on Sunday 27 August 2028, 13:08 UTC, which is in your time zone. It leaves for Scorpio on Thursday 2 November 2028, 15:04 UTC, after 67 days. During this stay Mercury turns retrograde from 19 September 2028 to 11 October 2028.
Mercury leaves Virgo for Libra on 27 August 2028 at 13:08 UTC and lingers far longer than usual. It does not move on to Scorpio until 2 November 2028 at 15:04 UTC, 67 days later. The reason is a retrograde: from 19 September to 11 October 2028, Mercury appears to move backward against the stars. Libra is a cardinal air sign ruled by Venus.
The tradition treats Mercury in Libra as a diplomat's mind, weighing both sides, seeking fairness and choosing words with care for the listener. Agreements, partnerships and negotiation are the classic themes. Astrologers read the retrograde weeks as a time to review rather than begin: revisiting conversations, rereading terms and correcting misunderstandings. A practical habit for the season is to put important points in writing and confirm them a second time.
