Mercury reaches Virgo, one of its own signs, on 8 August 2028 at 05:10 UTC after leaving Leo. It stays 19 days with no retrograde and moves into Libra on 27 August 2028 at 13:08 UTC. Virgo is a mutable earth sign, ruled by Mercury itself.
Astrologers consider Mercury especially strong in Virgo, where the tradition counts it as both ruler and exalted. The sign's themes are work, routine, daily habits, service and skill, and Mercury here is read as precise, analytical and attentive to detail. Editing, organizing and fixing small problems are the classic strengths; overthinking and fussiness are the usual cautions. A practical suggestion for these weeks: tidy one system you use every day, and be as patient with people as you are with the details.
