Your chart, free
The sky at the moment you were born.
Birth date, time and place. You get your Sun, Moon and rising sign, every planet with its degree and house, and the aspects between them, on the dial. Computed in your browser, checked against the Swiss Ephemeris, nothing sent anywhere.
How this chart is computed
The planets come from astronomy-engine, an open-source library built on the same planetary theory as NASA's ephemerides, converted to the tropical zodiac of the date. We compared it with the Swiss Ephemeris on births across six decades and five continents: the planets agree to within a third of an arc minute, the ascendant, midheaven and Placidus house cusps to the minute. The only approximation is the lunar node, shown here as the mean node; the true node can differ by up to a degree and a half.
Your local birth time is converted to Universal Time through the historical time zone rules of the birthplace, including summer time where it applied. For births before about 1970 in countries that changed their rules often, it is worth checking the UTC line under the heading against a birth certificate that states the zone.
Houses are Placidus, the most common system in Western astrology; inside the polar circles, where Placidus has no solution for every degree, the tool uses Porphyry and says so. Aspects use orbs of 8 degrees for the Sun and Moon, 6 for the planets and 2 less for sextiles. The daily horoscopes on this site use whole-sign houses counted from the Sun sign, which is a different and simpler count; your chart is the personal one.
