Mercury leaves Virgo and enters Libra on 3 September 2027 at 11:37 UTC. It stays for 24 days before moving into Scorpio on 27 September 2027 at 09:10 UTC. Libra is an air sign of the cardinal mode, ruled by Venus. There is no retrograde during this stay, so Mercury moves steadily forward through the sign.
Astrologers read Mercury in Libra as a diplomatic, balancing mind that does its thinking in dialogue. The tradition links this placement with negotiation, partnerships, fairness and tact. Its strength is the ability to see more than one side. Its usual weakness is indecision, or saying what others want to hear. A practical suggestion is to use these weeks for conversations that need a calm tone, such as clearing up a misunderstanding. State your own view plainly as well as listening to the other person's.
