Mercury in Gemini, 2026
Mercury enters Gemini on Sunday 17 May 2026, 10:26 UTC, which is in your time zone. It leaves for Cancer on Monday 1 June 2026, 11:56 UTC, after 15 days.
Mercury reaches Gemini, one of the two signs it rules, when it leaves Taurus at 10:26 UTC on 17 May 2026. The visit is brief and direct, with no retrograde, and lasts 15 days. Mercury then moves into Cancer on 1 June 2026 at 11:56 UTC. Gemini is a mutable air sign.
The tradition treats a planet in its own sign as working with ease, and astrologers read Mercury in Gemini as quick, curious and talkative. Gemini is associated with learning, short trips, siblings, neighbors, messages and the exchange of information. This placement is often linked with busy calendars, lively conversation and many open tabs at once. The same mobility can scatter attention. A practical suggestion: follow your curiosity, read or ask about something new, and keep a running list so that loose threads are not lost.
