Mercury in Virgo, 2025
Mercury enters Virgo on Tuesday 2 September 2025, 13:23 UTC, which is in your time zone. It leaves for Libra on Thursday 18 September 2025, 10:06 UTC, after 16 days.
Early September brings Mercury out of Leo and into Virgo, on 2 September 2025 at 13:23 UTC. It stays for 16 days before moving into Libra on 18 September 2025 at 10:06 UTC. Virgo is a mutable earth sign, and it is ruled by Mercury itself. There is no retrograde during the stay, so the planet moves forward through its home sign throughout.
The tradition considers this one of Mercury's strongest placements, since the planet rules the sign. Astrologers read it as careful, analytical and useful: attention to detail, routines, daily habits and work done well. Thinking is said to favor sorting, editing and fixing. The risk, in this reading, is worry or perfectionism. One practical suggestion is to choose a single overdue system, such as a list, a schedule or a cluttered drawer, and set it in order.
