Mercury moves out of Libra and into Scorpio on 26 October 2029 at 06:04 UTC. It spends 19 days in this fixed water sign, ruled by Pluto in modern astrology and by Mars in the older scheme, before crossing into Sagittarius on 13 November 2029 at 22:09 UTC. Mercury stays direct for the entire period.
Astrologers read Mercury in Scorpio as a mind that prefers depth to breadth: it looks for motives, reads between the lines and keeps its own counsel. The tradition associates the placement with research, investigation, honest conversations about difficult subjects and a long memory, along with a tendency toward suspicion or secrecy. Scorpio themes of trust, intimacy and what is shared with others are said to come forward in what people think about. A modest suggestion: choose one question that deserves careful attention and give it unhurried, focused time.
