Mercury in Virgo, 2026
Mercury enters Virgo on Tuesday 25 August 2026, 11:04 UTC, which is in your time zone. It leaves for Libra on Thursday 10 September 2026, 16:21 UTC, after 16 days.
Mercury reaches Virgo, one of the two signs it rules, on 25 August 2026 at 11:04 UTC after leaving Leo. It spends 16 days there without a retrograde. It moves into Libra on 10 September at 16:21 UTC. Virgo is a mutable earth sign.
The tradition considers Mercury both at home and exalted in Virgo. It reads the placement as a sharp, analytical mind with an eye for detail, order and usefulness. Astrologers associate it with editing, planning, routines, daily habits and work done well rather than quickly. The usual caveat is overthinking, or criticism that runs ahead of kindness. One practical suggestion: choose a single system you rely on, such as a calendar or a filing method, and tidy it.
