Mercury in Sagittarius, 2028
Mercury enters Sagittarius on Tuesday 21 November 2028, 04:00 UTC, which is in your time zone. It leaves for Capricorn on Sunday 10 December 2028, 09:12 UTC, after 19 days.
Starting 21 November 2028 at 04:00 UTC, Mercury travels through Sagittarius, having left Scorpio. Its stay lasts 19 days with no retrograde and ends on 10 December 2028 at 09:12 UTC, when it enters Capricorn. Sagittarius is a mutable fire sign ruled by Jupiter.
The tradition treats Sagittarius as the sign of the long view: travel, study, belief, teaching and the search for meaning. Mercury here is read as quick, candid and enthusiastic, more interested in the big idea than the fine print. Astrologers note that Mercury is in detriment in this sign, opposite its home in Gemini, so bluntness and overpromising are the usual cautions. One modest suggestion for these weeks: follow a question that genuinely interests you, and check a few details before you announce the answer.
