Mercury spends a brisk 16 days in Aries, entering from Pisces on 8 April 2027 at 23:20 UTC and moving on to Taurus on 24 April 2027 at 22:18 UTC. There is no retrograde during the stay. Aries is a cardinal fire sign, ruled by Mars.
The tradition reads Mercury in Aries as quick, direct and eager to be first: thoughts arrive fast and words follow without much delay. Themes of the sign include initiative, courage, independence and fresh starts. Astrologers take this placement to emphasize decisiveness and plain speaking, with the familiar risk of interrupting, arguing for its own sake or deciding before all the facts are in. A modest suggestion: use the momentum to start a conversation or a piece of writing that has been postponed, and allow a short pause before replying to anything heated.
