Mercury passes from Capricorn into Aquarius on 13 February 2029 at 17:52 UTC and stays for 21 days. It moves into Pisces on 6 March 2029 at 18:15 UTC. Aquarius is an air sign of fixed quality, ruled by Uranus, and Mercury travels through it without a retrograde.
Mercury governs thought, speech and the exchange of information, and the tradition counts Mercury in Aquarius as a bright, original placement. Astrologers read it as a period for new ideas, technology, group conversations and seeing familiar problems from an unusual angle. The fixed nature of the sign is said to make opinions firm once formed, so debates can harden. A practical suggestion: write down an idea you have been turning over, share it with people whose judgment you trust, and listen closely to how they respond.
