Chiron stations retrograde on Friday 11 August 2028, 15:11 UTC at 8°35′ Taurus and turns direct on Saturday 13 January 2029, 06:09 UTC at 3°53′ Taurus. The shadow period runs from 18 April 2028 to 4 May 2029.
Chiron, the small body that orbits between Saturn and Uranus, stations retrograde on 11 August 2028 at 15:11 UTC at 8°35' Taurus. It then appears to move backward for 154.6 days, until it stations direct on 13 January 2029 at 06:09 UTC at 3°53' Taurus, so the whole loop stays within Taurus. Including the shadow periods, the stretch runs from 18 April 2028 to 4 May 2029.
Astrologers associate Chiron with old wounds and the understanding gained by tending them, and they read its retrograde periods as a time for reflection rather than fresh starts. In Taurus, the tradition links these themes to security, possessions, physical comfort and self-worth. A modest, practical suggestion: notice where a sense of not having enough shapes everyday choices, and keep a short list of what genuinely steadies you.
