Sun in Virgo, 2026
Sun enters Virgo on Sunday 23 August 2026, 02:19 UTC, which is in your time zone. It leaves for Libra on Wednesday 23 September 2026, 00:05 UTC, after 31 days.
Late August brings the Sun out of Leo and into Virgo, with the ingress at 02:19 UTC on 23 August 2026. The Sun stays 31 days and moves on into Libra on 23 September 2026 at 00:05 UTC. Virgo is a mutable earth sign ruled by Mercury, and the Sun's motion through it is direct for the full stay, with no retrograde.
Astrologers read Virgo as the sign of craft, daily routines, service and careful attention to detail. The tradition treats the Sun's month here as a time for sorting, repairing and improving the systems of everyday life, with Mercury's rulership adding an analytical edge. The same qualities can tip into worry or perfectionism, which astrologers also associate with the sign. One modest suggestion is to choose a single routine, such as how you plan your week, and make it slightly simpler.
