Mars leaves Capricorn for Aquarius on 13 December 2029 at 05:25 UTC and remains there for 38 days. It moves on into Pisces on 20 January 2030 at 10:27 UTC. Aquarius is an air sign of fixed quality, ruled by Uranus, and Mars travels through it in direct motion, with no retrograde.
In the tradition, Mars stands for drive, effort and the way people assert themselves. Astrologers read its passage through Aquarius as a period when that drive turns toward groups, causes and ideas about how things could work better. The fixed nature of the sign is said to bring stubbornness as well as conviction, so arguments over principle may come up more often. A practical suggestion: put some of your effort into a shared project or community task, and keep an ear open to views that differ from your own.
