Early on 11 September 2026, at 03:27 UTC, the Moon and Sun meet at 18°26' Virgo for the month's new moon. The Moon is 376,650 km from Earth, and there is no eclipse. No planet is within orb of a major aspect to the lunation. Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto and Chiron are retrograde, while Mercury, the ruler of Virgo, is moving direct.
Astrologers read Virgo, a mutable earth sign, as the sign of work, daily routines, craft and useful service. A new moon is treated as a fitting moment to begin something modest, and in Virgo the emphasis falls on method and detail. With no close aspects, the tradition reads this lunation as clear and uncomplicated. One suggestion: pick a daily habit, such as tidying a workspace, and refine it over the coming month.
