In the early hours of 16 December 2028, at 02:06 UTC, the Sun and Moon join at 24°39' Sagittarius. The Moon is 377,878 km away and there is no eclipse. Mars squares the lunation within 3 degrees, and Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Chiron are retrograde.
The tradition treats Sagittarius as the sign of meaning, learning and wide horizons, under the rule of Jupiter, and a new moon here is read as a time to set intentions about what you want to understand or explore. A square from Mars is taken to add urgency and a tendency to overstate. A modest practice: pick one question you keep returning to, and choose a single book, course or conversation that might help you think it through, without hurrying the answer.
